If you get a chance to play the console version of the game and look closely at shadows you will notice a grainy effect there as well (very subtle though) as the shadows are dithered.

Alternatively you can try just slightly bigger resolution like smaller DSR factor and tweak sharpness until most of the pixelated patterns disappear.
