Puked a gallon out during stop-&-go traffic, so I refilled it, drove home, changed the front seal, and it hasn't happened again. I actually over heated the trans by backing a trailer up a hill with a car on it. Removed the trans, inspected the snout on the converter. for scares or scratches. Looked like new. So I just bought this truck about 2 months ago and I'm doing some tune-up things on it to help it run smoother. The other day I drained the tranny fluid from both the pan and the torque converter. Problem is filler tube leaks where it is inserted into transmission. Leaks directly on exhaust pipe. Discussion Starter · #1 · Jan 20, 2008. To everyone that has a 90's or newer Ford with the E4od transmission. DO NOT Run your truck with the HAZARD lights on. By doing so will cook your transmission. The torque converter lock up solenoid is controlled by your brake lights. Every time they flash they switch the solenoid on/off. lithium south america
