WebMay 18, 2024 · I'd focus on a chirp or fixed freq transom mount. The 3D does have solid downscan capabilities, but doesn't work great at speed and is more limited in terms of frequency. I run a B75M thru hull and 3D structure scan for example. Here are screenshots of fish at about the same time with chirp and side/down scan.
